What's the difference between the prefixes 'inter' and 'intra'?

As in, for example, inter-day and intra-day?

Also what's the difference between the prefixes 'pre' and 'ante' as in 'pre-natal' and 'ante-natal'?|||Inter = between (e.g. two days)

Intra = within (e.g. a single day)

No difference in meaning between 'pre-' and 'ante-'. Both mean 'prior to' or 'before', except one's Greek and the other's Latin (I think).|||Prefixes: ------------- Meaning: -------------- Examples:

inter- --------------between, among -------------- interact, interchange

intra- ------------------ inside, within ------------------- intramural, intravenous

ante- ---------------- before, preceding ------------------- ante-room

pre- -------------- before in time, place, order or importance---------------- pre-adolescent, precondition

Try those links/sources if you would like to know more prefixes' meaning and some examples are given.....
