What's the best way to travel inter-island in the Bahamas?

I am planning my honeymoon to the Bahamas, but can't seem to find much reliable transportation to explore other islands. I've seen something about mail boats, and there are flights that can be done, but the flights can be fairly expencive from what I have seen (around $200+). Are there any recomendations for traveling to explore different islands and see good places?|||i recently went there this past december, you should definitely fly bahamas air. Taking one of the mail boats is not expensive but it is a very long ride and can waste an entire day.|||puddle jumper.
