How does the inter-gender struggle between women benefit the American society?

I notice most women don't prefer the company of other women. I have noticed girls and women preferring the company of guys more. I have heard several times girls and women say, I do not get along well with other girls or women. They say, girls and women are catty. I understand how all this pans out for a guy. Women compete for men. But how does this help all the people around and not just the one prized male.|||It only benefits the guys they are competing for, nobody else.

And even to said males, it can be very annoying.|||The prefix you want is "intra," not "inter." The competition between women is an ancient trait hardwired into women's brains as is the competition between men. It's a way of assuring their genes are passed onto the next generation and assuring that they have the opportunity to mate with the most successful (i.e. strongest, healthiest, highest status) members of their species. That way they will produce offspring carrying the best survival traits. Producing only the healthiest and most fit offspring helps the species as a whole but not the individuals who lose out.|||I think it's because some men don't realize that women don't form as close friendships as they think. They have sets of friends they do things with such as going out for lunch dates or to nightclubs but they hardly see them otherwise. There are women who are very competitive but there are others who don't particularly enjoy being around other women because they have little or nothing in common with them.|||I don't see how it benefits America as a whole/society. I can, however see how and why it benefits law-makers in stations of influence who thrive on keeping people divided. And of course, civil lawyers who make money appearing in discrimination law suits.
