Is there any other inter-city passenger train service in the United States other than Amtrak?

I don't think there is, but I was hoping maybe someone knew about a little known rail line that does intercity passenger service in certain large regions of the continental united states. Regional as in like it serves the Southern States, or big states like Texas, not regional as in very small areas, like commuter lines.|||inter-city passenger rail is, by public law (PL 91-518) the Rail Passenger Service Act, the legal mandate of Amtrak.|||alsaka railroad

There are a few inter-city commuter lines, such as Caltrain or VRE, but nothing long-distance.|||new york has a commuter train that runs from CT,to new york 7 days a week.some trains run express from new haven, straight to grand central station.and some make every stop on the way down.|||Vermont Rail has a few short routes just within Vermont, and there are quite a few commuter lines, some of which cover quite a large area like in New York.|||I believe that you'll find that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), New Jersey Transit (NJ Transit), Southeast Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) MARTA, and Virginia Railroad offer some of the most extensive inter-city transportation options aside Amtrak; Florida has a very nice rail line between roughly Palm Beach to Miami as well; Florida is planning to do an intra city line between Orlando and Tampa
