I do not believe "unequally yoked" is talking about marriage.
I do not believe or count references to "foreigners" as forbidding marriage to people of other religions.
I do not count Solomon as meaning people can not do inter-religious marriages.
Please provide other scripture and point of views that support or go against inter-religious marriages.
Is it possible that the Bible does not address this topic in detail because it is not forbidden to have inter-religious marriages?|||it doesn't
but many use that as meaning that
it is talking about the church of god as a whole working together with other faiths
the church of god should not be working together with false belief systems as the followers of satan
god tells us that believers can be married to unbelievers if the unbeliever chooses to be married to such a person
KJV: I Corinthians Chapter 7
[12] But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
[13] And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
[14] For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
[15] But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
[16] For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
[17] But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.|||I don't think it necessarily forbids it, but...Christians are called to bring up a child in the way he/she should go (which in the bible would be referred to as a Christian upbringing). Also, it talks about how can two walk together unless they be agreed? So I think it is hinting that there will be some issues (how to raise the child for example) that marrying outside of Christianity could potentially have.|||1 Corinthians 7:12-16, it is ok
And despite what you want to believe about "unequally yoked", there's no way that can not include marraige.
Not only does the Bible contradict itself, but Paul contradicts himself writing to the same people.|||The bible says that whatever the mother is, the child is. So as long as the dad doesn't care that his children don't share his religion then I guess the bible shouldn't either.|||My brother, I am not a legalist, but I have done what you so desire to do and I can assure you that a great deal of heartbreak and pain will come from it. (My children have not recovered and perhaps they never will.) There are situations in which the unbeliever will come to the light, but there are others where he/she will absolutely not come to the light. I know . . . I KNOW how much you hurt and how you long for her. Jesus knows this, too. You are not in a position to hear from Him in your spirit regarding this because you want it so badly that you are not truly yielded to Him in this.
I am sorry to tell you that the passage in 2 Corinthians applies to marriage as well as other things. It is not a law -- there is no more law for us but love. It is a description of how to love one another. Paul is giving good advice here that will save you from breaking your heart and hers and also harming your children. You are responsible to provide as ideal an environment for your future family as possible, and marrying an unbeliever isn't consistent with this goal. Do you not want to be one with your wife in this most vital center of your being? Light will either drive away darkness or overcome it. If they co-exist, it can only be separately, or you will end up with an uneasy gray twilight. I am trying to save you grief and sorrow, my brother. Do yourself good and listen to Paul and to me.
"Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? And what agreement does God's sanctuary have with idols? For we are the sanctuary of the living God, as God said: I will dwell among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people. Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you. I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty." (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 HCSB)
