What does the inter-quartile range tell you about the data?

What does the inter-quartile range tell you about the data?|||It is the 'middle half' of the data. You can compare sets of data better especially if you have some very high/low values in the set.





A low IQR means that a lot of the data is close to the median average.


A high IQR means data is still spread out a lot|||It is a measure of variation. It indicates the dispersion of middle 50% of items.|||It tells you the range of the middle 50% of data
