What did Gareth Bale do prior to the Inter games?

Not having a go but I only really follow football through the media, but not heard much of Bale prior to the Inter games. Has his form been this fantastic in the premiership? P.S. Maicon is a Brazilian, maybe a world class player, but hardly a world class defender. Similar to Glen Johnson, great player, not a great defender.|||btu the man is given license to ONLY attack by Redknapp





unlike pathetic Glen Johnson who is supposed to be a 'defender'|||He started to be noticed as he was the best player when tottenham won against arsenal and chelsea from the previous season and then he followed his awesome consistent performance in the current english premiership and champions league campaign. I agree about maicon, as bale seemed to be restricted in the match against ManU when wes brown deployed to limit his movement. The key is to condition your right defender to limit bale in wide area, but then again tottenham is not all about bale.
