How to change a outer and inter tie rod?

Hello,

I have a 1996 Dodge Caravan. the outer tie rod on the passenger side broke off, i would like to know how to fix it and is it a easy fix. Also since the outer tie rod broke does that mean i have to replace the inter tie rod? To me it looks pretty simple but that just me! are there any special tools i need?|||To replace the outer there is really no problems however if you need to replace the inner you have to have a special tool(inner tie rod tool) although as long as the inner is not damaged and does not have slack you shouldn't have to replace it...Don't forget to get an alignment after wards though.|||Like Sara just said, there is a special tool you need to be able to remove it with. (at lease on a Ford Escort) I just had to replace mine last night and it's not really all that bad, but there really isn't much room to work. Ceck the next post. Ran out of characters
